In this video, a freshwater shrimp aquarium (neocaridina shrimp) is built using lava rock, Bucephalandra, Anubias Bonsai and the EHEIM Liberty 75 hang on filter. The layout is created with rock mounted plants and an active substrate, designed to provide a stable and low maintenance environment for shrimp.
The dry stage of the build includes
• breaking down lava rock for better scale and composition
• attaching Bucephalandra and Anubias with aquarium-safe adhesive
• placing the hardscape step by step to keep space for future elements
• adding active substrate to support a healthy shrimp environment
• misting the plants to protect fresh attachments before filling
